It's so much fun to read the Shanghai-ning forums. Somebody asked if people knew what a certain place was, and another poster replied:
无么看到古嘛
"I haven't seen it." Haha. John, don't kill me for this post. Admit that Shanghainese is funny sounding sometimes.

Ah, that gets old pretty fast.
I like it when they use the actual right characters instead of coming across as transcribing fools. Like 无 should be 吾. Thing is, a lot of people don't know what the actual characters are. Elaine knows a lot of the harder ones.
I dunno, kept me amused for a while. And there's a whole bunch I don't know, so I'm gonna have to go ask Lily or somebody: 萨宁, 相白, 伐...
Given that the average age of Shanghai-ning poster is oh, about 15, I won't dispute your calling them "transcribing fools".
I was just reading through your archives and noticed this post I must've missed before. The words you mentioned you don't know are:
萨宁 = 啥人 = who
白相 (not 相白) = 孛相 = play
伐 = 不 = no/don't
